Dianne Neal Matthews once wrote, "The Bible describes Jesus as an exact representation of the Father; the image of the invisible.  The Greek word is "charakter", indicating an impressed character such as a steel engraving or stamp.  God had already revealed Himself through His creation and the words of the prophets.  But when He sent His Son, He gave us an EXACT representation of Himself--a perfect reflection of His own glory!
